Adderall XR 20 mg Capsules
For treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults and children, a 20 mg capsule of Adderall XR® (amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release) once daily may be sufficient. However, the dose of Adderall XR your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
- Your age
- Other ADHD medications you have tried
- Other medical conditions you may have
- Other medications you are currently taking.
Refer to the following table for the recommended dosing for Adderall XR based on the person's age:

20 mg once daily

Generally, a lower dosage of Adderall XR should be tried first. Also, the Adderall XR dosage should be increased slowly and only if necessary.
