Adderall XR® (amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release) is a prescription medicine commonly used for treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults and children. It is designed to dissolve slowly so that it only needs to be taken once daily, to eliminate the need to take the drug at school or work. Adderall XR capsules are available in six different strengths, ranging from 5 mg to 30 mg. Before using this medication, be sure to tell your healthcare provider if you have any allergies, heart problems, or mental illness.
