You should not buy any generic Daytrana until there is an approved generic available.

When Will There Be a Generic Daytrana?

The first patent for Daytrana currently expires in 2012. This is the earliest date that a generic version of the medicine could become available. However, there are other circumstances that could come up to extend the exclusivity period of Daytrana beyond 2012. This could include such things as other patents for specific Daytrana uses or lawsuits.
