Desoxyn Drug Interactions

When medications such as insulin, guanethidine, or tricyclic antidepressants are taken with Desoxyn, drug interactions may occur. Some other drugs that may interact with Desoxyn include monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) -- do not take Desoxyn if you have taken an MAOI within the past 14 days. Drug interactions with Desoxyn may result in decreased effectiveness of the medicines or cause serious side effects, such as low blood sugar or extremely high blood pressure.

 

Desoxyn Drug Interactions: An Overview

Desoxyn® (methamphetamine hydrochloride) can potentially interact with several medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to Desoxyn interactions include:
 
  • Guanethidine
     
  • Insulin
