Focalin XR Drug Interactions

Focalin XR drug interactions can increase your risk of bleeding or serious side effects, among other things. A few of the drugs that can potentially interact with Focalin XR include pressors, tricyclic antidepressants, and SSRI antidepressants. Also, while it is not known how different antacids or acid reducers might affect Focalin XR, it is possible that they could change the way Focalin XR is released.

An Overview of Focalin XR Drug Interactions

Focalin XR® (dexmethylphenidate extended-release) can potentially interact with a number of other drugs. Some of the drugs that may lead to Focalin XR interactions include:

    • Dopamine (Intropin®)
    • Dobutamine (Dobutrex®)
    • Epinephrine (Adrenalin®, EpiPen®)
