Focalin® is a prescription drug used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Although it is a stimulant, the drug has a calming effect. In clinical studies, children and teenagers with ADHD who took Focalin had significant improvement in their symptoms, compared to children and teenagers with ADHD who did not take it. Focalin comes in tablet form and is typically taken twice a day.
