Focalyn

Were you looking for information on Focalin? Focalyn is a common misspelling of Focalin.

Focalin® is a stimulant; however, it has a calming effect, which makes it effective in treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In clinical studies, children and teenagers with ADHD who took the drug had significant improvement in their symptoms, compared to children and teenagers with ADHD who did not take it.

Commonly reported side effects of Focalin include nausea, fever, and decreased appetite. Some people may be more likely to experience problems with the medication than others. Therefore, you should tell your healthcare provider about all medication conditions you have and any other drugs you are taking before beginning treatment.

(Click Focalin to read the complete eMedTV article, which explains in detail how the drug works, when and how to take it, and what to do in case of overdose. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
