ADHD Home > Adderall XR Information

One of the medications that can be used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is Adderall XR® (amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release). This product comes in capsule form and should be taken first thing in the morning. It can be taken with or without food.
Because this drug is a stimulant, information on Adderall XR's safety and effectiveness might be particularly important to you. For example, in one study, children with ADHD who took this medication had significant improvements in behavior compared to children who did not take it. Furthermore, these behavior improvements were noticed throughout the day.
