Ritalin and Alcohol: A Summary

Although there is no specific interaction between Ritalin and alcohol, it is a good idea to avoid alcohol until you know how Ritalin will affect you. Taking the drug with alcohol might affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Also, it is usually not a good idea to take Ritalin if you have a history of drug or alcohol abuse. Talk with your healthcare provider about the advisability of combining Ritalin and alcohol in your particular situation.
