Metadate CD Drug Interactions

When certain medicines are taken with Metadate CD, drug interactions may develop that could lead to life-threatening side effects, like extremely high blood pressure or increased heart rate. The drug levels in your system may also increase significantly, and your healthcare provider may need to adjust your dosages. Medicines that may cause Metadate CD drug interactions include seizure medications, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, and SSRI antidepressants.

Metadate CD Drug Interactions: An Overview

Metadate CD® (methylphenidate extended-release) can potentially interact with several medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to Metadate CD drug interactions include:
 
o Dopamine (Intropin®)
o Dobutamine (Dobutrex®)
o Epinephrine (Adrenalin Chloride®, EpiPen®)
o Norepinephrine (Levophed®)
