For the purposes of drug testing, it is difficult to say how long Ritalin stays in your system. This will depend on how well your liver and kidneys are functioning (as well as how sensitive the drug test is). However, for other purposes, it can be assumed that the half-life of Ritalin is approximately two to four hours, which means that Ritalin will be out of your system in less than a day.
