Negative Effects of Ritalin

In most cases, Ritalin® (methylphenidate hydrochloride) is a safe and effective treatment for narcolepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). However, as with any medicine, it's a good idea to be aware of the potentially negative reactions to Ritalin before starting treatment, just in case.
