Best Time to Take Strattera

If your healthcare provider has prescribed Strattera® (atomoxetine hydrochloride), you may have questions about when and how to take it. The first thing to know is that this medication should be taken in the morning. However, in some cases, a healthcare provider will recommend taking Strattera twice a day. If this is the case, the best time for the second dose to be taken is usually in the late afternoon or early evening.

You can take Strattera with or without food; some people do report less stomach upset when it is taken with food. If you happen to miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. You should never take a double dose.
