Problems With Strattera

Available by prescription only, Strattera® (atomoxetine hydrochloride) is a drug used for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In most cases, it is an effective treatment for ADHD symptoms, and most people are able to take it without any problems. However, as with any medication, Strattera can cause side effects.

Side effects of Strattera tend to be minor and easy to treat; however, other problems are more serious. For example, in rare cases, this drug can cause hallucinations, delusions, and other psychotic symptoms. These symptoms are possible even in people who have never had such problems before. To help ensure a safe treatment process, let your healthcare provider know about any other medical conditions you have, including low blood pressure, liver problems, and any allergies.
