Stratera

Were you looking for information about Strattera? Stratera is a common misspelling of Strattera.

Strattera® (atomoxetine hydrochloride) is a prescription drug used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, teenagers, and adults. In previous studies, children and teenagers with ADHD who took Strattera had significant behavior improvements, compared to those children and teenagers who did not take Strattera. Studies have also shown Strattera to be effective at treating symptoms of adult ADHD. Strattera comes in a capsule form that should be taken by mouth once or twice a day. It is important that you swallow the capsules whole with a drink of water (or another beverage) and that you not open the capsules -- as the medication inside can be irritating to the eyes. Among the side effects of Strattera are insomnia, vomiting, dry mouth, and upper abdominal pain (or stomach pain).
