Strattera 10 Mg Capsules

People who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may find relief with the drug Strattera® (atomoxetine hydrochloride). This product comes in capsule form, and is usually taken once or twice a day. There are various strengths of the medication available, ranging from 10-mg Strattera capsules to 100-mg Strattera capsules. Several different factors help determine the amount of Strattera you are prescribed, including your age and weight.

For example, for children and teenagers (weighing 154 pounds or less), Strattera should be started at 0.25 mg per pound of weight, rounded to the nearest available strength. After at least three days, the child's healthcare provider can increase the dose to 0.6 mg per pound of body weight (rounded to the nearest strength available). The dose can be taken once daily in the morning or divided into two doses (one in the morning and one in the late afternoon or early evening).
