Strattera 60 mg Capsules
Strattera® (atomoxetine hydrochloride) is a medication often prescribed for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is approved for use in children, teenagers, and adults.
The drug comes in capsule form and is available in seven different strengths, including:
- Strattera 10 mg capsules
- Strattera 18 mg capsules
- Strattera 25 mg capsules
- Strattera 40 mg capsules
- Strattera 60 mg capsules
- Strattera 80 mg capsules
- Strattera 100 mg capsules.
The recommended starting dose for adults and children or teens weighing more than 154 pounds is 40 mg once daily or 20 mg twice daily. Your healthcare provider may increase your dosage as needed, until the maximum dose of 100 mg per day is reached.
For children and teenagers weighing 154 pounds or less, Strattera should be started at 0.25 mg per pound of weight, rounded to the nearest available strength. Your child's healthcare provider may increase this dosage as needed after a few days.
