Strattera and Sex Drive

The most common sexual side effect of Strattera® (atomoxetine hydrochloride) is erectile dysfunction, occurring in up to 9 percent of men taking the medication. However, sexual side effects can occur in both men and women taking this drug. For example, up to 4 percent of women and men taking Strattera in clinical studies noticed a decreased sex drive (libido).
 
Other sexual side effects include:
 
  • Orgasm changes.
  • Ejaculation problems, such as a decreased ejaculation amount or an inability to ejaculate
  • Priapism (a painful erection that lasts more than four hours).
