Strattera Drug Information

Strattera® (atomoxetine hydrochloride) is the first nonstimulant medicine used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This condition, which can affect both children and adults, is characterized by hyperactivity, trouble paying attention, and other ADHD symptoms. Strattera comes in capsule form, and is taken either once or twice a day.
 
Prior to taking Strattera, inform your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you have and any other medications you are taking (including nonprescription products and vitamins). This drug is not suitable for everyone, and serious side effects are possible. Discussing these things with your healthcare provider will help him or her decide if Strattera is right for you and will help ensure a safe treatment process.
