Strattera Medication Information

Strattera® (atomoxetine hydrochloride) is a prescription medication used for treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, teens, and adults.

The Strattera medicine is different from other types of ADHD drugs because it is not a stimulant and is unlikely to be abused. It is not known exactly how Strattera works to produce a calming effect, but it does affect certain chemicals in the brain.

Before taking Strattera, medication information should be reviewed with your healthcare provider, as this drug may not be suitable for everyone. If you have bladder problems, high or low blood pressure, glaucoma, or any heart problems, let your healthcare provider know before starting treatment.
