Vyvanse™ (lisdexamfetamine dimesylate) is a medicine licensed to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults and children ages 6 to 12. By affecting certain chemicals in the brain, the medication can produce a calming effect and help improve the symptoms of ADHD. Vyvanse comes in capsule form and is available in six different strengths, ranging from 20 to 70 mg. Before your healthcare provider prescribes Vyvanse, make sure he or she is aware if you have heart problems, thyroid problems, or hypertension.
