Vyvanse™ (
lisdexamfetamine dimesylate) is a stimulant medication commonly used for the treatment of
ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). It is approved for use in adults, teens, and children.
The medicine, which is available by prescription only, comes in capsule form and is available in several different strengths, including:
- 20 mg Vyvanse capsules
- 30 mg Vyvanse capsules
- 40 mg Vyvanse capsules
- 50 mg Vyvanse capsules
- 60 mg Vyvanse capsules
- 70 mg Vyvanse capsules.
The usual recommended starting Vyvanse dosage is 30 mg once daily in the morning. If your ADHD symptoms are not controlled with this dose, your healthcare provider may choose to increase your dosage as necessary.
The 70 mg capsules are the highest recommended dosage for the treatment of ADHD.
